VAS, KI JE DOBILA IME PO SLEPEM PASTIRJU IN KOZI – KOZANA // THE VILLAGE NAMED AFTER A BLIND SHEPHERD AND A GOAT – KOZANA

// The photos show the village in Goriška Brda – Kozana. Photos also show a playground located next to the main “square” in the village of Kozana. This playground is locally called Sala, which in Slovenian means “hall”. The playground was given this name because various dances were held at this place in the past, and the village also had its own singing group, which performed regularly here. The photographs also show the Kozana bell tower or Ter in Brda dialect, whose plan was designed by a famous Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik. This work by Plečnik is among the lesser known, but the locals are very proud of it, and they mention it many times. Inside the church there is also the Plečnik’s original plan, which shows that the bell tower is slightly different from Plečnik’s plan.
