Lepota dotika, Mini življenjska zgodba
// Beauty of touch, A mini life story
Sencografija je bila navdih za to serijo. Sencografija je umetnost, pri kateri sencograf z rokami in sencami pripoveduje neko zgodbo.
Čeprav sence nisem uporabljala kot obliko pripovedovanja zgodbe (zaradi pomanjkanja opreme). Z rokami in nekaj predmeti sem pokazal čustva in naredila zgodbo bolj razumljivo. Ker je bila naša naloga fotografiranje, ki spominja na lepoto dotika. Odločila sem se, da bom izpostavila lepoto, ki stoji za našimi dejanji v življenju. Vsak korak, ki ga naredimo, je pomemben skozi vse življenje. Serija sledi zgodbi o delovni gospodični, ki se je potegnila iz revščine, se borila za boljše življenje, našla pravo ljubezen in resnično družino. Slike si morate ogledati po vrstnem redu, kot je naše življenje. To je zaporedje dogodkov, ki jih morate natančno spremljati, da vidite celotno zgodbo / večjo sliko.
// Shadowgraphy was the inspiration behind this series. Shadowgraphy is an art where a Shadowgraphist uses their hands and shadows to tell a story.
Even though I didn’t use shadows as a form of storytelling (due to lack of equipment). I used hands and a couple of objects to show emotions and to make the story more understandable. Since our task was to take pictures the resemble the beauty of touch. I decided to highlight the beauty behind our actions in our lives. Every step we take is important throughout our lives. The series follows a story of a hardworking lady that pulled herself from poverty, fought for a better life, found true love and true family. You have to view the images in order, like our lives. It’s a sequence of events that you have to follow accurately, to see the whole story/ the bigger picture.

Tema 2: V GIBANJU // Topic #2: IN MOTION

Takoj, ko sem slišal naslov V Gibanju, sem se spomnil plesa v stilu baleta. Želel sem prikazati čim bolj čustvene fotografije plesnih poz, toda v nenavadnem okolju, ki ne bi na prvo žogo bili videti kot ambient za ples. Zato sem plesalko fotografiral pri Lijaku, kjer skačejo padalci. Tam mi je hribovito ozadje pomagalo pri moji viziji. Največji izziv mi je bila svetloba, ki je bila zelo slaba za fotografiranje saj je sonce sijalo zelo močno, skoraj brez oblaka v bližini. Da sem še nekoliko popestril fotografije sem plesalki v nekaj primerih ukazal naj v zrak meče moko. S tem sem želel še nekoliko bolj izraziti gibanje, na mojo žalost pa je sonce tako močno sijalo, da je moka v veliko primerih komaj vidna.
// As soon as I heard the title In Motion, a ballet dancer came to mind. I wanted to show emotional pictures of dance poses, but in an ambient that isn’t native to ballet. So I made the pictures at Lijak where the parashooters jump from. The mountain background was exactly what I was looking for. The biggest challenge was the light, because the sun was very strong, without a cloud in sight. For a better effect I told the dancer to throw flour in the air in some cases. With this I wanted to show a little more motion, although because of the sun the flour was hardly visible in a lot of the photographs.

Tema 3: Spomini // Topic #3: Memories

Naredila sem serijo fotografij na temi V gibanju in Spomini. Najprej fotografija v gibanju, to so fotografije, ki po definiciji ujamejo in ovekovečijo majhen delček življenja. Gledalec lahko po malem sklepa, kaj se zgodi pred ali po gibanju. Vendar fotografije prikazujejo le gibanje. Na primer voda v gibanju! Druga tema so spomini, ki prikazujejo primerjavo preteklih časov s sedanjostjo. Spomini izpostavljajo tudi trenutke veselja, iz srečanj v preteklosti.
// I did a series on the two following topics. The first one was In motion photography; that is Photographs, by definition, capture and immortalize a small slice of life. There is little for the viewer to infer what happens before or after that moment. However, there are images that need to communicate motion. Just think of water in motion! The other topic is Memories that actually reflected the comparison of previous times with present. In addition to that memories also highlighted the moments of joy that were encountered in past.

Nosilni modul Fotografija 1 v 1. letniku Akademije umetnosti Univerze v Novi Gorici spoznava študenta z osnovami fotografskega jezika – tehnike in tehnologije, osnovami elektromagnetnega spektra in vidne svetlobe, dela s fotografskim aparatom in karakteristikami aparatov in objektivov, z osnovami digitalne tehnologije in digitalne obdelave fotografije. Skozi razgovore in dialoge študentje spoznavajo osnove ustvarjanja v fotografskem kodu, njegovo sintakso in razvoj skozi zgodovino fotografije. S praktičnimi vajami utrjujejo osnovne parametre osvetljevanja in dela s svetlobnim parkom. Končna naloga zajema dve kolekciji fotografij z enotnim naslovom, ki ga študentje sami izberejo na začetku letnika. Vseskozi želimo študentom podati ne samo ozek pogled na fotografski medij, ampak njegovo mesto in povezavo znotraj človeške kulture in znanosti.
// The Photography Carrier Module in year 1 of the University of Nova Gorica School of Arts introduces the student to the basics of photographic language – techniques and technology, basics of electromagnetic spectrum and visible light, working with cameras and characteristics of cameras and lenses, basics of digital technology and digital photography. Through conversations and dialogues, students learn about the basics of creation in photographic code, its syntax and development through the history of photography. With practical exercises, they consolidate the basic parameters of lighting and work with the lighting equipment . The final assignment includes two series of photographs with a single title, which the students choose at the beginning of the year. Throughout, we want to give students not only a narrow view of the photographic medium, but its place and connection within human culture and science.
